【摘要】:Ifacoatingistofulfillitsfunctionofprotectingorimpartinguniquepropertiestothesurfaceofasubstrate,itmustadheretothesubstratefortheexpectedservicelife.Becausesurfacepreparation(orlackofit)hasadrasticeffectonadhesionofcoatings,atestmethodforevaluatingadhesiontodifferentsurfacetreatmentsorofdifferentcoatingstothesametreatmentisofconsiderableusetotheindustry.Thelimitationsofalladhesionmethods,andthespecificlimitationofthistestmethodtolowerlevelsofadhesion(see1.3)shouldberecognizedbeforeusingit.ThesetestmethodsaremechanizedadaptationsofTestMethodsD3359;therefore,theintra-andinterlaboratoryprecisionofthesetestmethodsaresimilartoTestMethodsD3359andtootherwidely-acceptedtestsforcoatedsubstrates,forexample,TestMethodD2370,butthisispartlytheresultofitbeinginsensitivetoallbutlargedifferencesinadhesion.Thepass-failscaleof0to5forMethodB1andB2wasselecteddeliberatelytoavoidafalseimpressionofbeingsensitive.1.1Thesetestmethodsdescribeproceduresforassessingtheadhesionofmetallicandinorganiccoatingsandotherthinfilmstometallicandnonmetallicsubstrates.Assessmentismadebyapplyingpressure-sensitivetapetoacoatedsurfaceandthenutilizingamechanicaldevicetoremovethetapeataregulated,uniformrateandconstantanglewhilesimultaneouslyrecordingtheremovalforce.1.2Fourmethodsaredescribed.MethodsA1andA2areintendedprimarilyforuseonparts.MethodsB1andB2areintendedprimarilyforuseinlaboratoryevaluations.MethodsB1andB2arenotrecommendedfortestingcoatingsandfilmsonpolymersubstrates.1.3Thesetestmethodsmaybeusedtoestablishwhethertheadhesionofacoatingtoasubstrateiswithinarequiredrange(betweenaquantifiedlowandaquantifiedhighlevel).Determinationofactualadhesiveforcesrequiresmoresophisticatedmethodsofmeasurement.Inmultilayersystemsadhesionfailuremayoccurbetweenintermediatecoatinglayerssothattheadhesionofthetotalcoatingsystemtothesubstratemaynotnecessarilybedetermined.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
