【摘要】:Thetestmethodprovidesmeansforestablishingwhetherornotalotofceramictilemeetsthestrengthrequirementswhichmayappearintilespecifications.Tilestrengthistheforceinpounds-force(ornewtons),asreadfromthepressuregage,necessarytocausethetiletobreak.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthebreakingstrengthofglazedceramicwalltile,ceramicmosaictile,quarrytile,andpavertile,havingafacialareaofatleast1in.2(6.4cm2).1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
