【摘要】:5.1Theenergyinputratetestisusedtoconfirmthattheboosterheaterisoperatingproperlypriortofurthertesting.Boosterheaterflowcapacityisanindicatoroftheboosterheaterrsquo;abilitytosupplyhotwaterforsanitation.Theboosterheaterrsquo;flowcapacitycanbeusedbytheoperatortodeterminetheappropriatesizeboosterheaterfortheiroperation.Boosterheaterenergyrateisanindicatoroftheboosterheaterrsquo;energyconsumptionduringcontinuouswaterflow.Theenergyratecanbeusedbyfoodserviceoperatorstoestimatetheenergyconsumptionoftheboosterheater.Boosterheaterenergyefficiencyisapreciseindicatorofaboosterheaterrsquo;energyperformanceduringthecontinuousflowtest.Thisinformationenablesthefoodserviceoperatortoconsiderenergyperformancewhenselectingaboosterheater.Boosterheaterflowcapacityat50%ofthemaximumcapacityisanindicatoroftheboosterheaterrsquo;abilitytoprovidehotwaterforsanitationatthisreduceflowratecondition.Boosterheaterenergyefficiencyataflowrateof50%ofmaximumcapacityisanindicatorofaboosterheaterrsquo;energyperformanceatthisflowrate.Theboosterheateroutlettemperatureduringthecapacitytestataflowrateof50%ofmaximumcapacityisanindicatoroftheboosterheaterrsquo;temperatureresponseatthisreducedflowrate.Preheatenergyandtimecanbeusefultofoodserviceoperatorstomanagepowerdemandsandtoknowhowquicklytheboosterheatercanbereadyforoperation.Idleenergyrateandpilotenergyratecanbeusedtoestimateenergyconsumptionduringstandbyperiods.1.1Thistestmethodevaluatestheenergyefficiency,energyconsumptionandwaterheatingperformanceofboosterheaters.Thefoodserviceoperatorcanusethisevaluationtoselectaboosterheaterandunderstanditsenergyconsumption.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletoelectric,gas,andsteampoweredboosterheaters.1.3Theboosterheatercanbeevaluatedwithrespecttothefollowing(whereapplicable):1.3.1Energyinputrate(9.2).1.3.2Pilotenergyrate(9.3).1.3.3Flowcapacityrate,energyrate,andenergyefficiencywith110176;F(43.3176;C)and140176;F(60.0176;C)supplytotheboosterheaterinlet(9.4).1.3.4Thermostatcalibration(9.5).1.3.5Energyrateandenergyefficiencyat50%offlowcapacityratewith110176;F(43.3176;C)and140176;F(60.0176;C)supplytotheboosterheaterinlet(9.6).1.3.6Preheatenergyandtime(9.7).Thepreheattestisnotapplicabletoboosterheatersbuiltwithoutwaterstorageandwillnothaveauxiliarywaterstorageconnectedtotheboosterheatertocompletethewaterheatingsystem.1.3.7Idle(standby)energyrate(9.8).1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.TheSIunitsinparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
