【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesthephysicalandmagneticcharacteristicsofmagnetictapecassettes,usingmagnetictape12,65mmwidesoastoprovidephysicalinterchangeofsuchcassettesbetweendrives.Italsospecifiesthequalityoftherecordedsignals,therecordingmethodandtherecordedformat,calledDigitalTapeFormat-2(DTF-2),therebyallowingdatainterchangebetweendrivesbymeansofsuchcassettes.TheformatsupportsvariablelengthLogicalRecords,high-speedsearch,andtheuseofaregisteredalgorithmfordatacompression.ThisInternationalStandardspecifiestwosizesofcassette.ForthepurposesofthisInternationalStandardthelargercassetteisreferredtoasTypeL,andthesmallerasTypeS.Togetherwithastandardforvolumeandfilestructure,e.g.InternationalStandardISO1001,thisInternationalStandardprovidesforfulldatainterchangebetweendataprocessingsystems.
