【摘要】:1.1ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesamethodfordeterminingthewettingtensionofsurfacesofplasticfilmandsheetingincontactwithdropsofspecifictestsolutions.1.2Theabilityofplasticfilmstoretaininks,coatings,adhesives,etc.,isprimarilydependentonthecharacteroftheirsurfaces,andcanbeimprovedbyoneofseveralsurface-treatmenttechniques.Thesesametreatmenttechniqueshavebeenfoundtoincreasethewettingtensionofaplasticfilmsurfaceincontactwithmixturesofsolvents.Itisthereforepossibletorelatethewettingtensionofaplasticfilmsurfacetoitsabilitytoacceptandretaininks.coatings,adhesives,etc.Themeasuredwettingtensionofaspecificfilmsurfacecanonlyberelatedtoacceptableink,coating,oradhesiveretentionthroughexperience.Wettingtension,initself,isnotacompletelyacceptablemeasureofink,coatingoradhesiveadhesion.1.3Anycontaminationofthefilmsurfaceandanytraceofsurface-activeimpuritiesintheliquidreagentsmayaffectthewettingtension.ItisthereforeimportantthattheportionofthefilmsurfacetobetestedisnottouchedOorrubbed,thatallequipmentbescrupulouslyclean,andthatreagentpuritybecarefullycontrolled.Glassapparatus,inparticular,islikelytobecontaminatedwithdetergentshavingverystrongsurfacetensionreducingability,unlessspecificprecautionsaretakentoensuretheirabsencesuchasbycleaningwithanoxidizingagent,forexamplechromic-sulfuricacidorsulfuricacid-ammoniumperoxydisulfate,andrinsingwithdistilledwater.1.4Thetestisnotapplicablewhenthesurfaceofthematerialtobetestedreactschemicallywiththetestsolution.1.5Itshouldbenotedthatsurfacepropertiesofplasticfilmandsheetingmaychangebyageingprocesses.Themeasurementsmustthereforeberelatedtotheageofthefilm.
