【摘要】:Soilsamplespreparedforradionuclideanalysesbythispracticecanbeusedtomonitorfalloutdistributionfromnuclearfacilities.Thispracticeisintendedtoproduceahomogeneoussamplefromwhicharelativelysmallaliquot(10g)maybedrawnforradiochemicalanalyses.Mostnuclearfacilitiesfulfillmajorrequirementsoftheirmonitoringprogramsbygamma-rayspectrometrymeasurementsofsoil.Awidelyusedpracticeforthesemeasurementsistofillacalibratedsamplecontainer,suchasaMarinellibeaker(8764;600-mLvolume),withahomogenizedsoilsample.Bypreparingtheentiresoilcorecollection,sufficienthomogeneoussampleisavailableforradiochemicalandgamma-rayspectrometrymeasurements.1.1Thispracticecoversthepreparationofsurfacesoilsamplescollectedforchemicalanalysisofradionuclides,particularlyuraniumandplutonium.Thispracticedescribesoneacceptableapproachtothepreparationofsoilsamplesforradiochemicalanalysis.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Aspecifichazardstatementisgivenin6.3.
